Matthieu Litt / Oasis

€55.00

Sometimes we think there is nothing to see... nothing happens, nothing to say. But let things change, tolerate them being taken away, and you will realize what you have lost. One being, one peace, one word, one image even, and everything tilts. Of course, we have learned to live in a present that the future threatens ... but if everything is threatened (and has worry not become a political strategy?), ultimately nothing seems to be.
But the Ry-Ponet is. And so tenuous that it could go unnoticed.

Small fragile landscape which is above all, a landscape of images.
None more important than the other, no moment more decisive than the previous or the next. But everything counts, in its richness of detail, its incomparable banality, its light; the feeling of tranquility that sheds from one season to the next.

This is a pocket of greenery lost in the city and threatened by it; or through forgetfulness, neglect and greed. It is above all a maze of photos in which we venture through concentric layers, and where are measured and assembled, the respective presence and importance of humans, buildings and nature.

The call of a moment stretching out, derisory and precious.
This is not an investigation or an elegy, not a journey or a militant act, it is both more and less than that: a stroll. Where there is so much to see, so much to say! And which perhaps will be taken away from us, silently and discreetly. But not in indifference, however; for those who, where there is nothing to see, manage to behold something, stretch the limits of little Ry Ponet as far as the eye can see, to a horizon — fragile, but vigilant.
