Stéphanie Solinas (FR, 1978)

Stéphanie Solinas completed a PhD in Art at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2008. She also graduated in photography from the École Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière (Saint-Denis) in 2001. A resident at the French Academy in Rome (Villa Medici) in 2017–2018, she was later an artist-in-residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts (San Francisco) in 2018–2019, at the Zero-G residency of the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES, Paris) in 2024, and subsequently at the Jan Michalski Foundation for Writing and Literature (Montricher). She received the SCAM Prize for Experimental Work for her short film at the Paris Opera / 3e Scène in 2018, and the Camera Clara Prize in 2020. Her work has been exhibited in France and internationally, notably at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the J. Paul Getty Museum (Los Angeles), Fraenkel Gallery LAB (San Francisco), FOAM (Amsterdam), the Centre Pompidou, the Jeu de Paume, the Musée national Eugène-Delacroix in Paris, the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, and the Carré d’Art – Museum of Contemporary Art in Nîmes. She has published several books, including L’Être plus. Itinéraire pour Devenir soi-même (Seuil / Fiction & Cie, 2023).
