Julie Calbert (BE, 1985)
Lives and works in Brussels (Belgium)
A graduate in photography from the Haute École Libre de Bruxelles Ilya Prigogine (2010), Julie Calbert worked for the Belgian press and taught photography at the Institut national de radioélectricité et cinématographie (INRACI, Brussels). Her work has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions. In 2023, she exhibited at the Centre d’Art Contemporain du Luxembourg belge (Montauban-Buzenol), as well as at Galerie La Part du Feu (Brussels) and Galerie DEUSS (Antwerp).
The following year, she exhibited at Galerie L’Enfant Sauvage (Brussels) and took part in a group exhibition at Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire (Paris). She was also awarded Open-Folio #4 in 2024 by the Institut pour la Photographie in Lille.
In 2025, she exhibited at the Villa Pérochon (Niort) and Galerie Éponyme (Bordeaux), and was a finalist for the Prix Virginia.
In 2026, Julie Calbert presents her work in three venues as part of the 10th edition of the PhotoBrussels Festival (Brussels).
